Letters of approval and such

YEAH! YEAH! YEAH! we have received our letter of approval from china! this means that china has approved us to be jamison's family. it also means that there is the possibility of travel in the near future! it could be that we will travel in 6-9 weeks to go and bring that sweet boy into his new home.
it is mind boggling to think of that! this is the movement and forward momentum that we have been waiting for and praying for. jamison does know about us now, though i don't know what his reaction was to the news. but i imagine he can't even comprehend what is coming. five brothers. a new country. a different language. strangers taking him away from what he has come to call home, and away from the children who have become his family. believe me, i am REJOICING that we have the approval, i am just also very aware of what he could be thinking and feeling. it is overwhelming for us and him.
my house is WAY too messy for a little boy who can't see. there is much to get in order, but what a joy to do so. i can't wait to hug him and kiss him and smell his hair and learn about his little ticks and gestures he prefers. i will probably cry the first time i hear him sing. he loves to sing, and i've been told he does so a lot of the time.
it is all by the grace of abba. we step forward in fear but full of hope for what is to come.
